MEET THE COACHES
Joe Frontier
Joe Frontier, best known as the host of the Throw Big Throw Far Podcast, is recognized as one of the top high school throwing coaches in the country. He founded the Madison Throws Club in 2002 to train middle school and high school throwers, developing an extraordinary record of success — his athletes have won 55 Wisconsin State Championships, 45 runner-up finishes, and 7 Illinois State Championships.
Scott Cappos
Scott Cappos spent 25 years coaching in the Big Ten Conference at the University of Iowa and the University of Nebraska. During his tenure, his athletes earned over 50 Big Ten titles, more than 100 All-America honors, and set four national records across three different countries. Several of his former athletes have gone on to compete on the international stage, including appearances at the World Championships and the Olympic Games.
Ryan Whiting
Ryan Whiting, a two-time World Champion and six-time NCAA Champion, is a co-creator of Thrower X and will serve as one of the primary instructors. A Hall of Fame Sun Devil, Whiting is the founder of Desert High Performance and has coached top high school and professional throwers, including multiple state champions, Olympians, and World Championship medalists.
